Dear Diary - In Closing

Tommorow, I will upload all of the evaluations been completing over the past week or two, and as a result have finished the course. With my preliminary deadline coming up in a couple of days  I am very pleased with how the end of the course has turned out. I have been working very hard over the last few weeks making sure everything is done and up to date, and everything has been uploaded. Whilst I still plan to make changes over the next week or so leading up to the final deadline, and following on from any feedback I receive from my teacher, this will be the final state that my blog will be in before its first marking. I am pleased with the progress I have made, and look forward to receiving my grade back with several improvements that I can make.

This week I have been working hard on getting specific tasks done in order to get closer to the deadline. The majority of the tasks have now been completed, or atleast started and plan to have all of these done by the middle of next week, giving me the weekend to simply focus on perfecing all my tasks and making my blog look good, aswell as finalising my music  video.

Below is a tracker that I have been using to keep track of what tasks I have completed and what I still need to complete. You will notice that I have not finished any of my evaluations yet, which will be a focus over the coming days.

This week I have taken some photos to use in my digipak and my magazine advert. I plan to use these in some way or another in both products. I used the same models as I did for my actual video, as to show cohesion between the two products. I took a number of photos so that I could use them in a variety of ways and settings

Now, with my exams over, I can finally get back to working harder on my media coursework. Over the holiday I have begun work on my media products, such as my digipak and magazine advert. I hope to have a copy of these uploaded as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I have also began working on my music video again, and hope to have this done as soon as possible.

Over the Christmas break I have been working hard on editing and putting together my music video. Despite lacking a short amount of footage, I have been able to edit together a significant part of my music video, and I feel it is looking acceptable prior to any form of post editing. I plan to continue to work on my music video over the latter half of my study leave period after my exams, and plan to have it completed by the time I return to school. Today was my first lesson back after the Christmas holidays, and I have received a sheet declaring what I must do when creating my evaluation, and with a set deadline of the middle of march, so I will also try to begin with this. I also have a couple more planning tasks to complete before my blog is completely up to date, but again I plan to get this done over the next couple of weeks.

Despite continuign partially with editting my music video, once again this has slowed down. I have my A2 exams beginning in early january, and have decided to prioritise them, instead of rushing my music video and as a result making it a much worse product. I still plan to spend a bit of time working on my media products however, and hope to begin work on my music video again soon.

I have not had much time to work on my media coursework so far, with alot of my time being spent busily over the christmas period. I am currently only around 30 seconds into editting, and I hope to improve this soon.

My christmas break has just begun and I have been working on getting started with my music video. I have filmed the majority of my footage and am ready to begin editting. I plan to continue this process over the holidays and hope to have my first draft done  by the end of january.

Unfortunately I have been fairly inactive on my blog over the last week or two, simply down to the vast quantities of work that I have currently been set in each of my subjects, and trying to my best to give each subject an equal portion of my time. Despite the inactivity, I have continued to develop my ideas and products over this period. My storyboard draft has now been completed, and now I am just waiting to receive my formal storyboard sheets so I can copy them out. I have also continued work on my A2 coursework analysis, and I plan to get this done over the next week or so, either in a scribd format, or in a premiere video.

This week I have continued to work on my research tasks. I now have only 3 tasks remaining, and I plan to get them completed over the next week. My music video idea has also been developed significantly, and I plan to get this storyboarded for next lesson. This will then speed up the development process for my music video, Hopefully allowing me to reach the end of november deadline for filming my music video.

Over this half term I have continued to work very hard on completing as many of the research tasks as possible. I now only have a couple more to do, and the even better news is I think I have come up with an idea for my music video, so I plan to storyboard this over the next few days. So far it look like I may complete my self made  target of completing all of the research tasks by the end of the half term.

This week I have continued to work on both my research section, aswell as trying to come up with an idea for my music video. I currently have around  5 tasks still to do, and with half term coming up, I plan to get all of these tasks completed by the end of the half term break. In addition to this, I have also began planning an idea of my music video. Currently, I have the theme of opposites to work with, and I have been toying with the idea of using two people that are preparing to go out, and showing how they get ready, with one of them taking alot of effort and the other not, perhaps a boy and a  girl preparing to go out. I plan to storyboard a few ideas before the end of the holiday and hope to come back with a solid idea, ready to film before the end of November.

This week has been a hugely productive week for the production and planning of my music video. I have chosen my song, 'Evening/Morning'  by Bombay Bicycle Club, and I have also began the planning process for its creation. I plan to finalize my storyboard over half term and come back and record it relatively quickly, so I have as much time as I can to edit it.

This week I have been working hard to get an idea of what I will create for my music video. I have chosen my song; 'Evening/Morning' by Bombay Bicycle Club. I have chosen this because its length suits what I feel I am capable of completing in the time I have, but more importantly how the song sounds appeals to the sort of music video I plan to make, with a range of  both fast and slow pace sections.

This week I have been continuing to work on getting as much of my coursework done as possible. I have just recently completed my conventions of a music video page, and with that that concludes the majority of the research I have to complete. Most of the work I need to complete now revolves around looking at the works of artists are analysing them. I plan to work on analysing previous music videos over the next week or so to get an idea of what I can produce.

This week I have continued my work on getting as much of the research into music video done. So far, I've completed around 4 of these products, leaving me with around 7 or 8 still to do. I plan to get these done as soon as possible, with the half term holiday at the end of October aiming to be the holiday in which I get the filming for my music video done. I also need to start work on my music video plan, as I have been trying to focus on the research over the planning.

This past week I have been working on a range of the research tasks that I have been tasked with. I began by beginning my moodboard, and this is nearing completion. I also tidied up a few of my old blog posts, including adding a few pictuers to my 'What is the Indie Genre?' page. I also completed the task titled 'The Codes and Conventions of Music Videos'. I plan to keep up this pace over the next few weeks.
